Neurology Physical Therapy involves the application of techniques applied to a wide variety of neurological conditions (acquired and traumatic). The conditions that we treat but are not limited to Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Traumatic Brain Injury (including concussions), Acquired Brain Injury (Stroke). There are a wide variety of treatment approaches that RPT uses to improve the neurological system such as Craniosacral Therapy, Bobath Therapy (also known as Neurodevelopmental Therapy), LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Training) – specifically used for Parkinson’s patients, Otago treatment approach for the
prevention of falls and Cognitive Functional Therapy. Due to the nature of the neurological conditions, it is common develop chronic disabilities and/or chronic pain. The treatment approaches are used to help to reduce memory impairment, falls prevention, improve respiratory endurance, reduce pain, improve function, and overall improve the quality of life.
